RADM Khanzadi attends the tenth anniversary of IONS in India

The Commander of I.R.I Navy traveled to India in order to attend the tenth anniversary of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS).

According to the report of the Public Relations Department of the I.R.I Army, RADM Khanzadi, before his trip, mentioned that on the occasion of tenth anniversary of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS), the Indian Navy will hold a special ceremony for three days in the city of Kochi with the participation of 32 countries; and he also added: ‘The Indian Ocean region is one of the most important regions of the world and its security is very important. In this regard, over the past ten years, the Indian Navy has held the IONS Symposium in order to raise environmental awareness, create synergies between naval forces and achieve collective security.’

He continued: I.R.I Navy accepted the periodical chairmanship of this symposium for two years and nearly six months have passed right now. We have anticipated many programs during this period in order to take serious steps for achieving the collective security of the Indian Ocean.

It should be noted that according to predetermined programs, RADM Khanzandi, the commander of the I.R.I Navy and the periodical chair of this symposium, will deliver a speech on the future and security of the Indian Ocean region and he will also have bilateral meetings with Indian officials and twelve naval commanders from other countries who will attend this event.
